Summer Fair meeting

Thank you everyone who came to the first PA meeting this morning! I’m very happy that we have got off to a great start with volunteers, but we are still looking for more.

We will be in the dining room again next Friday morning just after drop off to report on progress so far, so please come and join us if you can. If you can’t make it and you have any great ideas for the Summer Fair, just catch one of us in the playground.

The Summer Fair is nearly upon us!

SummerWe are holding a planning meeting after drop-off in the dining room on Friday 9th May and will also be arranging an evening meeting for the following week. Please do come along if you can make it, as we are really interested in seeing as many new faces (and getting as many new ideas!) as possible.

There are many ways to help:

  • Donating bric a brac
  • offering your time
  • getting your employer to offer fundraising-matching for a stall at the fair
  • donating/procuring raffle prizes
  • saving wine bottles for the wine stall
  • rustling up helpers from parents/carers in your year…well, it’s a big list!

Please make yourself known if you are willing to help, we need lots of you! Please do share this information if you know parents/carers who are not members of this page.

Thanks all x

Annual General Meeting – 14th October

I just wanted to let you know that the date of the PA AGM has changed to Monday 14th October at 7.30pm. As you know, Caroline, Karen and myself are not standing for re-election, but as yet, no-one has shown any interest in taking over our roles. It would be a great shame for all our children if the PA did not continue, so please do have a serious think whether you could be part of the committee team and ask us if you would like further information about what it involves. To run the PA needs a named Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, but having been a small team of 3 this year, we feel that the PA would definitely work best with more people on board so that the workload can be shared out a bit more. If you are not keen to take on one of the named roles, perhaps you could volunteer to be part of a bigger group or to take responsibility for one area of the PA for eg the cinema nights or the cafes.

Have a think!

Best wishes
Helen

Friday Cinema Night and PA planning meetings

Hello! I hope that everyone had a lovely Easter break.

I just wanted to remind you that this Friday is our kid’s cinema night. If your child is booked on, please remember that they are welcome to bring a cushion to school with them to make the film more comfy. It’s best if this comes with them to school in a name plastic bag. We will have an interval during the film when we will provide them with a drink and a snack. Please collect your child from the hall at 5.30. You my have to bare with us during this, as we will need to tick each child off as they leave with their parent or carer. I just want to also say thank you to those parents who have offered to lend a hand with this event on Friday – it is much appreciated.

Also I wanted to let you the dates of the Summer Term PA planning meetings. These are:

Monday 29th April at 7pm and Friday 3rd May at 9.30am.

We hope that lots of you will be able to attend one of these. This is set to be a busy term on the PA front and we will need a lot of support to pull it all off!

PA meeting cancelled

SnowmanAs the school was shut today due to the snow the PA meeting scheduled for this 7pm evening has been cancelled.

The second meeting, on Friday morning after family reading, will still go ahead as planned.

PA meetings next week!

Happy New Year!

We just wanted to remind you about next week’s PA meetings. We will be holding one at 7pm on Monday 21st, and one at 9.30 am on Friday 25th, in the dining room. Please come along to discuss how we should spend the PA funds as well as new fundraising initiatives. We’d also like to hear your ideas for a Mother’s Day event.

Also, don’t forget to put the Camp Quiz Night date in your diaries – 23rd March. More information to follow soon, but start getting your teams together now!!
